Dave Kerford, Master Coach & Consultant

Dave Kerford

Master Coach & Consultant

Dave has been leading the “turnaround effort” for struggling businesses for the past 28 years which offers clients the experienced combination of big business knowledge and hands-on leadership of teams and the C-Suite.

He has worked directly with Private Equity investors to acquire companies and assemble management teams building short and long term business plans and serving as CEO for those companies as they were rebuilt.

He has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions in the software and services sector. He served as President/COO of Leverage Group in Hartford, CT, a subsidiary of Cybertek Corp., and as President/CEO of AQS Inc in Wisconsin where he led a team that returned to profitability in 2 years, tripling revenues in 4 years, and built a strong platform for the future.

His leadership style was forged in two places: The US Army as an Intelligence Officer and Company Commander, and at IBM where he was a Systems Engineer for large accounts like GE Transportation (locomotives) and Lord Corp (manufacturing).

He says his best qualification for helping businesses is that he has made more mistakes than most. “I have learned more from my mistakes than my successes. No need for others to make the same mistakes.”

Dave currently serves on many Boards of Directors, is a coach and mentor for several executives around the country and is an Elder in his local church. He has received many awards including the IBM President’s Award for co-founding the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Practice. He holds a BS degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Clemson University.

Dave describes himself as a horrible, but avid golfer, a student of the Bible, and Sir Winston Churchill. “I married way over my head, (Carolyn the Great!) 40 years ago and I have two incredible sons!”
